CEFR levels
CEFR stands for the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and was put together by Council of Europe. It describes different levels of mastery of foreign languages. It is widely used in Europe and other parts of the world as a standard for evaluating language abilities. The CEFR divides language proficiency into six levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. Each level corresponds to a set of language abilities, such as the ability to understand and use basic grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions.
